1/4 Cup - Interviews

Not all schools offer an interview, but I strongly encourage you to take advantage of it, if it is offered.

Review the video below for commonly asked interview questions and how to answer them.

Below are some additional tips for acing your interview.

Tips

1) Wear a button down shirt with a nice pair of pants.

2) Plan accordingly so that you can arrive at least 10 minutes before your interview, if you need to travel for your interview.

3) Practice your hand shake. It should be slightly firm.

4) Think about and practice the questions in advance. Try to practice with another adult and record the interview. Most smartphones have a voice recording feature, so you don't need to go out and get an extra recorder.

5) Thank your interviewer for their time and take mental notes of what you talked about.

6) Bring a copy of your resume with you and offer it to your interviewer in case they want one. Depending on whether they need to write a report on you, it may make things easier for them, which is always a plus.

7) Relax and be yourself. Remember they are just trying to get to know you better.
